My coach is undefeated

Do you know those days when you feel like your face is on a billboard as a target? 

 When you feel like every corner you turn someone is there to throw another punch your way?

With the exception of having to leave loved ones behind, have you thought of just getting in your car and driving like, forever far away?


If you are not able to relate you either live in a glass bubble or you are not honest.

I am not talking about an, alarm doesn't go off, out of coffee, traffic jam, no hot water kind of day.

I am not even talking about the kind of day where you somehow lose control of your day because of the unexpected.  Being a nurse I have had many of those days and sometimes they are most rewarding.

I am talking about the kind of day when your lens in which you see the world becomes so muddied that you cannot see clearly.

When we are experiencing these negative emotions we need enough energy to think of 3 positives for every negative emotion. I have to be honest and say that today in the midst of this never ending storm, a positive I could not find.  I am thankful however that anger is not a common emotion for me so I did handle myself with grace.

After we are removed from the situation our muddied lens become clearer.

I reminded myself that this is only temporary. I go to a quiet place and listen to music that brings me peace. More importantly I turn to the only place with answers.

Jeremiah 29:11 -

 

'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope

Romans 5:1 -

Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.


Tomorrow I will wake up and go into battle again but I will be prepared for it and will wear the armor of God. I will not be immuned to the infliction of pain by others, I will still have dissapontments and likely still feel defeated however I am ready to stand tall in what I know and that is this; my coach is undefeated.

What piece of the puzzle are you?

Do you ever look at your life and see a jigsaw puzzle ?  I do and sometimes it is just too many pieces to put together.  All of the pieces are connected somehow, we know that once we put it together it all fits but it is the getting there that is a challenge.  Each piece is important to make it complete.  The picture is not the same if there is a piece missing when you are finished.

Life is like that too. 

Some if us are born with all our pieces put together but most of us find our pieces along the way.

My puzzle may look like this;

I am a puzzle piece that makes me a mom, a piece that has been moved around the table as my children grow, it is first the edge piece holding their lives together while they grow, the piece that is the center when we are all they need, then we may become the piece that moves around to find a place that is just out of reach but there should we be needed. 

I am a puzzle piece that makes me a wife, sometimes that piece has been broken or even missing, sometimes it is the piece that pulls it all together.

I am a puzzle piece that makes me a daughter and though that puzzle now has missing pieces I am no less a daughter I just move my puzzle piece to where it needs to be. 

I am a puzzle piece that makes me a friend.  I may be the edge, the piece that is needed to hold  all the rest of the pieces together, sometimes I am the center, the piece that pulls it all together , sometimes I am the piece that's just out there not really needed to hold anything together but out there always within reach.

Most importantly I am a puzzle piece that makes me a daughter of the King.  HE is the edge piece that holds me together. HE is the center piece that pulls me to him. HE is never just waiting on the sidelines until I need HIM.  He completes my puzzle and when I am in pain and think I have missing pieces HE always sends me a message through someone, a message of hope and of love. A message that if there are pieces missing from my puzzle it is I who lost them.
